Plant introduction: Sophora flower bud in a broad sense refers to the dry flower buds and flowers of the leguminous plant Sophora japonica L. The flower buds are harvested when the flowers are not in bloom in summer and are called "Sophora flower buds"; when the flowers are in bloom, they are harvested and called "Sophora flowers". The flowering period is from July to September, and the fruiting period is from September to October. After harvesting, remove the branches, stems and impurities of the inflorescence, and dry them in time for fresh use, stir-frying or carbonization. Plant activity: The dry Sophora flower buds contain rutin, triterpenoid saponins, betulin, sophoradiol, glucose, and glucuronic acid. The Sophora flower buds also contain sophora flower bud A (14%), sophora flower bud B (1.25%), and sophora flower bud C (0.35%). Component A is a flavonoid compound different from rutin, while components B and C are sterol compounds.
